Job Title: Food and Beverage Manager
Job Description:

Location: Hilton Garden Inn Durham / Southpoint

Position: Food and Beverage Manager

 

The Food & Beverage Manager oversees all Food & Beverage Operations to include restaurant and catered events and they will report to hotel General Manager.

·          Must provide courteous guest service and respond promptly to guest questions, complaints, or requests.

·          Will be involved in the recruiting, hiring, and terminating of food and beverage employees.

·          Must be able to maintain proper employer/employee relations as well as discipline, recognition, and performance evaluations of employees.

·          Responsible for maintain restaurant and lounge conditions that meet local, state, and federal standards as well as hotel standards.

·          Establish and enforce cleanliness standards in restaurant, lounge, and kitchen.

·          Prepare weekly employee schedules.

·          Maintain the cost controls and quality standards as specified by labor and cost standards.

·          Work with General Manager, Executive Chef, or kitchen supervisors in establishing food quality and consistency standards.

·          Maintain adequate ordering, receiving, and inventory controls for restaurant and lounge.

·          Actively participate in Food & Beverage operations at peak activity periods each day including, but not limited to, delivering food, clearing tables, greeting and seating guests, clearing tables, bartending, etc.

·          Continually strive to be aware of current trends in Food & Beverage.

·          Continually strive to upgrade product and service.

·          Perform other services and projects as requested by General Manager.

·          The ideal candidate will possess over 2 years of hospitality management experience.

·          Experience in the supervision of catering events and a restaurant is required.

·          The ability to manage in a diverse environment with focus on client and customer services is essential to success in this role.

·          Strong organizational, time management and team development skills are required.

·          P&L accountability and/or contract-managed service experience is desirable.

·          Excellent leadership and management skills required.

·          Previous experience in supervision of catering and restaurants is required.

·          Flexible scheduling including weekends is required.
