R. Doyle Parrish, President of Summit Hospitality Group, Ltd., has been responsible for multimillion-dollar property management and involved in the development and operation of hotels since 1985. In 1989, Parrish co-founded Summit Hospitality Group, Ltd. in Raleigh, North Carolina. Today, Summit Hospitality Group, Ltd. manages a combined total of thirteen franchised Marriott and Hilton hotel brand properties and the historic Dunhill Hotel and Monticello Restaurant. This portfolio represents nearly $195 million in assets and employs over 500 associates in Raleigh, Wilmington and Charlotte, North Carolina. As President of Summit Hospitality Group, Ltd., Parrish heads a corporate team that collectively brings more than 75 years experience to all aspects of hotel operations, marketing, sales, planning, accounting and administration. In addition to his position as principal of a leading hotel management company, Doyle is active in industry and community concerns. He is chairman of the North Carolina Travel and Tourism Coalition (NCTTC), chairman of the Frankie Lemmon Foundation, past chairman and past board member of the Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureau, and past president of Raleigh’s North Carolina Theatre. Doyle serves on the boards of directors for CapStone Bank, Frankie Lemmon School, the Triangle Educational Advancement Foundation (TEAF), the Hospitality Alliance of North Carolina (HANC), the North Carolina Restaurant and Lodging Association (NCRLA), the Greater Raleigh Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Occoneechee Council Committee of the Boy Scouts of America. He is a member of the North Carolina Travel and Tourism Board–NC Department of Commerce, and a member of the City of Raleigh Convention Center and Progress Energy Arts Center commission. Doyle is a graduate of the University of North Carolina (1976) with a MBA from Wake Forest (1981), and serves on the Wooglin Board of Beta Theta Pi at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. |

Beam has a reputation for quality, on-time construction, and his expertise in building a variety of projects along the East Coast is a valuable asset. |

Ian Sauer, Operations and Development, has 38+ years of hospitality experience with establishments ranging from limited-service properties to full-service urban hotels. Sauer is past president of the North Carolina Hotel & Motel Association, served on the board of directors for Wilmington’s Thalian Hall Performing Arts Center. Sauer also serves on the Board for the Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitor Bureau as well as the Triangle Education Advancement Foundation. |

Ed Book / Vice President of Operations / Raleigh Market, , joined Summit Hospitality in 2010. Prior to joining Summit Hospitality, Ed spent over 30 years with Marriott Corporation. He worked in such cities as New Orleans, New York, Atlanta, and Nashville, as well as several different locations in the Washington, DC market. Ed first moved to Raleigh in 1997. While serving as the General Manager of the RTP Marriott and the Raleigh Marriott Crabtree Valley he also served as the Area General Manager for the multiple Marriott branded hotels in the Raleigh market. Immediately before joining Summit Hospitality, Ed was the General Manager of the Renaissance Harborplace Hotel in Baltimore. Ed is a past chairman of the board of the Great Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureau, a past president of the Triangle Area Hotel Motel Association and was on the NC Central University Hospitality Program Advisory Board. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Penn State Hotel Restaurant Society as a past president.

Debbie Capps / Accounting and Finance, is a 20+ year veteran of Summit Hospitality Group, Ltd. Debbie manages a staff of four in the day-to-day accounting processes including cash flow, review and balancing of property reports, accounts payable and payroll as well as monthly financial statement preparation and reporting to ownership. She is also vital in the annual budgeting creation and review process. In addition, Debbie oversees the financial aspects of property renovations and new property development. |

Sandra Hughes Benton / Marketing and Advertising Sandra brings sixteen years of marketing and advertising experience to her position with Summit Hospitality Group, Ltd. Since November of 2002, Sandra has worked with Summit's community partners as well as clients. As Summit's Director of Marketing, Sandra has the day to day responsibilites of ensuring Summit has a strong presence within each of our markets both online, in print and in person. Combining a strong knowledge of sales, advertising, graphic design, and photograpy, Sandra brings a broad and unique skill set to Summit's managment team and portfolio. |

Jason Edwards / Revenue Management, Jason brings fourteen years of hospitality experience to his Company Revenue Manager position at Summit Hospitality Group, Ltd. Since July of 2005, Jason has provided technical, strategic, and an aggressive mentality to the Summit Hospitality portfolio of 14 hotels in Raleigh, Charlotte, and Wilmington, North Carolina. As Company Revenue Manager, Jason is responsible for ensuring the hotel General Managers, Sales Managers, and Revenue Management Services are aggressive with pricing and sell strategies for the transient and group business in order to maximize and lead the market in RevPar. He is also an integral in the budgeting and revenue action plan creation and review processes. |
